Welcome back to The Robert Durst Show! This time, Jarecki digs into Durst’s past, starting with some heavy stuff: Durst saw his mom die by suicide when he was a kid. Tough start, right? Then there’s his dad, Seymour, a big shot in real estate, pushing Robert to join the family biz, but Robert’s not into it. Instead, he falls for Kathie McCormack, and they’re all lovey-dovey, moving to Vermont together. But, surprise, surprise, Dad convinces Robert to head back to New York and take over the family business. Now, they’re living the high life in a fancy NYC penthouse and a sweet lake house up north. But then things take a dark turn. Kathie disappears after a weekend at the lake house, and Durst shows up at the cops saying he hasn’t seen her in days. Sounds fishy, right?
