By now everyone probably knows that Season 2 of The Jinx is finally upon us. In preparation, I wanted to prepare a recap of what we saw in Season 1. Please be advised that this post does contain spoilers!
A Body in the Bay
Our story kicks off with this guy named Robert Durst, who’s a mix of being really full of himself but also kinda charming. Things get wild when a guy named Morris Black ends up dead in Galveston. Cops find blood and a paper with Durst’s name nearby, so they nab him. Turns out, he’s crazy rich from New York. He gets out on bail but lands back in hot water for something totally dumb: stealing a sandwich, even though he’s loaded. Meanwhile, there’s this filmmaker, Andrew Jarecki, making a movie about Durst’s wife disappearing. And guess what? Ryan Gosling’s in it! Durst hits up Jarecki, wants to see the movie, and then offers to chat on camera. Also, we meet Durst’s wife, Debra, who seems cool (eye roll). That’s just the start of the crazy ride in “The Jinx.” Stay tuned for more craziness in the next recap!
